Huntingdon Town Football Club is on an exciting journey of growth and expansion as we launch our new women and girls section for the upcoming season. As part of this exciting initiative, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join us as the Head of Women and Girls Football. This role is instrumental in the creation and development of our new section and will play a vital role in shaping the future of female football at our club.

About the Role

As the Head of Women and Girls Football, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our women and girls section, from player development to team management. This is a dynamic and hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for promoting women’s and girls’ football.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the growth and development of the women and girls section at Huntingdon Town FC.
  • Recruit, train, and manage coaches, staff, and volunteers to support the operations of the women and girls section.
  • Oversee player recruitment, trials, and team selection processes to ensure the development of competitive and inclusive squads.
  • Establish strong partnerships with local schools, community organisations, and other football clubs to promote participation in women’s and girls’ football.
  • Organise and coordinate training sessions, matches, tournaments, and other events for players across all age groups and skill levels.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to players to help them reach their full potential on and off the pitch.
  • Create a positive and inclusive team culture that fosters camaraderie, sportsmanship, and personal growth among players.
