Exciting Playing Opportunities for the 2024/25 Season at Huntingdon Town Football Club
Huntingdon Town Football Club is delighted to announce the playing opportunities available for the First Team and Under 23 Team for the upcoming 2024/25 season. Competing at Step 6 and Step 7 in the football pyramid, we are committed to providing a platform for talented players to showcase their skills and progress in their football careers.
Celebrating Youth Development
Our club takes immense pride in the development of young players, and last season was a testament to our commitment to nurturing talent. The First Team featured a remarkable number of youth players, demonstrating a true pathway for player progression:
- 20% Under 18
- 30% Under 19
- 50% Under
- Including 4 x 16-year-olds
This impressive representation of youth players highlights our focus on player development and our willingness to challenge the most able youths. Our coaching staff, equipped with UEFA A and B licenses, are dedicated to fostering the growth and potential of each player.
Pre-Season Preparations
To ensure our teams are well-prepared for the upcoming season, we are starting pre-season a week earlier on Thursday, 20th June. This will allow for a comprehensive 4-week pre-season training period. We have scheduled 4 pre-season friendlies, each taking place on a Saturday, to provide our players with valuable match experience before the season opener.
First Team
Season starts on Saturday, 27th July 2024.
Under 23 Team:
Season starts on Saturday, 10th August 2024.
